In the late 1800s, Davis Solomons immigrated to London with his wife, Rachel (Tobinschlack). They established a corset business in Cannon Street Road in the East End of London, and lived above the store.
They had six children – Isaac, Henry, Nathan (Nat), Alfred (Alf), Hyman and Esther. There was a seventh child, Mary (Marela) that died as a child.
